They brainstormed!

The students had a brainstorming session whereby they identified shots for their media making process.Due to poor rainfall patterns in Mutomo District the educator had identified the BIG IDEA to revolve along climate change and poverty levels and their effects on education..

The students were grouped into groups of five whereby each group came up with their ideas on the same topics .After wards, all the ideas were pooled whereby the educator listed them down and together with the students identified the possible shots. These were the questions answered:
1. What were the effects of rising poverty levels?
  • Lack of food
  • Lack of jobs
  • Low living standards
  • Poor infrastructure
2. How was poverty affecting our education?
  • School drop outs
  • Early pregnancies
  • Lack of school fees
  • Child labor affecting school grades
3. What are the causes of climate change?
  • Charcoal burning
  • Cutting down trees
4.How is climate change leading to poverty?

  • Lack of water for agriculture
  • Lack of food due to poor rainfall patterns
5. How can we combat climate change?
  • Use of good farming systems
  • Improving infrastructure
  • Planting trees
  • Soil conservation
  • The Government educating citizens on good farming methods
